Fifteen years ago, I left the Best Job In the World. I worked for a government subcontractor. It was a job I loved, as what we did there had a direct impact on keeping our country – and the brave men and women serving abroad – safe. While I was sad to leave there, I took comfort in knowing I was among the fortunate few who loved getting up and going to work each day.
Fortunately for me, lightning struck twice.
The Chamber Board of Directors chose this new-to-Kearney resident to be their next Executive Director. And for fifteen more years, I had a job I loved getting up and going to each day.
I want to thank every President, Board of Director, and Ambassador who has served or is serving as a volunteer for the Chamber – I literally could not do it without you.
And to every member of the Kearney Chamber – THANK YOU. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve you.
