You’ve been through A LOT.
Looking for a way to LET IT ALL OUT?
We can all agree that 2020 has been quite the year. Research shows 49% of Americans feel “increasingly stressed, frustrated, and tense due to the recent coronavirus lockdown.
In the same study, 42% of Americans reported COVID-19 restrictions have made them want to scream. Can you relate?
Since we could all use some scream therapy about now, here is your opportunity to LET IT ALL OUT.
The Kearney community is invited to join the Kearney Chamber for some scream therapy on
Friday, September 4th, from 4-7pm, at Kearney Amphitheater, Jesse James Park.
Screamers: Screaming is Free – first come first served (please wait your turn in a socially distanced line with masks on).
We All Scream for Ice Cream: Thanks to McDonalds of Kearney for providing free ice cream vouchers for all screamers.
Spectators: Spectators are welcome on the amphitheater lawn. Please practice appropriate social distancing protocol per the Clay County Public Health Center.
“Using a scream as a way to release pent up emotion allows you to reconnect with yourself, hear your own voice and reclaim the power that is inside you,” psychotherapist and mental health specialist Zoe Aston said in a statement. “Releasing pent up emotion is not an invitation to attack, influence or express aggression; it is a way to become aware of your feelings and take a step towards being kind to yourself.”
- If you are sick/experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms please do not attend
- Practice physical distancing as much as possible (six feet apart)
- Wear a face mask to prevent spreading germs to others, even if you are not sick
- Wash your hands frequently and avoid touching shared objects and surfaces.
Give yourself permission to LET IT ALL OUT this September. There’s no doubt how much better it will make you feel!Event Co-Hosts: Chamber members are welcome to co-host this event. For a $50 investment you will be added as a co-host to the Facebook Event, included in all event promotions, and multiple mentions from the microphone at the event.Thank you to our Event Co-Hosts:Platte-Clay Electric Cooperative, Northland Therapeutic Riding Center, McDonalds of Kearney, Crossroads Community Church, City of Kearney
