The Kearney Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Stephanie DePrenger of ReeceNichols, Liberty has been selected as the Business of the Month for May 2017. We conducted the following interview with Stephanie:

Some of us have not had the good fortune of getting to know you yet!  Please tell us how you came into the Real Estate business, and share a bit about yourself.

I Joined the Liberty office in 2015, I focus most of my business in the Northland, but really love to work with clients in the Kearney area. I grow up in Ray County then moved to the Kansa city Metro areas and attend Park University in Parkville, MO. I have lived in Kearney for the past 11 yrs. With my husband Dylan, we have two children: Stella (10), and Mac (6).

Stephanie DePrenger ReeceNichols LibertyCan you give us a brief history of the Reece Nichols Liberty office?

The Liberty Reece Nichols opened this open in 2000, (9601 NE Barry Rd suite 200 Kansas City MO).

What would you say is unique about your business?

Real estate its self is unique in that “Every Real estate deal is different”. By you work with Me I’m the only person you will work with I don’t just “sign you up and pass you off”. I do my best to make each client feel as if they deal it the most important.
“Referrals are the heart of my business”

I know you are very active in our community.  Along with being a Chamber member, please tell us the other organizations you belong to and your achievements/awards you have received.

Things around town I’m involved with:

  • Jesse James festival
  • I help chair the festival 5k-10k race
  • Kearney /holt optimist club.
  • Board member for the past 4 yrs. for the dogwood PTO.

Just to name a few.

It’s getting to be a very busy time for Realtors with summer almost upon us.  What would you like to say to the folks who are thinking of moving?

The spring/ summer market is in full swing, there has never been a better time to be a seller, inventory is low across the metro so it is a true sellers’ market. For example, just in Kearney School District alone, as of (4/25/17) there are only 55 active listings out of the 135 that are on the market.
